Checking your name in the voter list no longer requires visiting the Panchayat or Block office. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made the entire system online — allowing you to download the voter list of any village, ward, town, or city in Madhya Pradesh directly from your mobile or computer.
What is SIR (Special Intensive Revision)?
The Special Intensive Revision is a large-scale, detailed verification of electoral rolls conducted by the Election Commission of India.
It is more comprehensive than regular annual revisions and aims to:
✔ Add all eligible voters
✔ Remove duplicate, shifted, or ineligible entries
✔ Correct spelling, age, or address errors
✔ Ensure voter lists are accurate before major elections
SIR is carried out under Article 324 of the Constitution and the Representation of the People Act.
