Step-by-Step Process for Applying for a Driving License Online:

1. Visit the official website: https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/

2. Navigate to the "Online Services" section and click on "Driving License Related Service."

3. Select your state when prompted on the new screen and click "Continue."

4. Choose the option "Apply For Learners License" on the next screen.

5. Follow the instructions provided on the next screen, which includes seven steps for applying online. Click on the "Continue" button to proceed.

6. Select your category (e.g., General, Ex Servicemen, Handicapped) on the subsequent screen and click "SUBMIT."

7. Choose between "Via Aadhar Authentication" and "Without Aadhar Authentication" on the next screen. Since you are applying online, select the first option and proceed.

8. A small form will appear on the next screen, where you need to enter your Aadhar number. After entering the Aadhar number, an OTP will be sent to your linked mobile number. Enter the OTP and click the "Authenticate" button.

9. Another screen will display a pre-filled form based on your Aadhar card information. Click the "Proceed" button.

10. Confirm the details on the next screen. If everything is correct, click "OK" to proceed.

11. After clicking "OK," your application will be successfully submitted, and you will receive an Application Number. Make a note of this number and click "Next."

12. Upload the required documents, including Age Proof (marksheet, PAN card, or Aadhar card photo) and Address Proof. Ensure the file type is JPEG or PDF and the size is within 500 KB.

13. Upload your photo and signature if necessary. Click on "Upload and View Files" and then proceed to the next step.

14. Pay the applicable fees by clicking on the "Fee Payment" option. Follow the payment process and click "Proceed Payment."

15. Provide the necessary bank details, accept the terms and conditions, and click "Proceed Payment."

16. Complete the payment through internet banking, debit card, credit card, etc.

17. Once the payment is successful, click "Click Here to Print Receipt" to download the payment receipt by entering the captcha code.

18. Save the receipt as a PDF on your device.

19. Your application is now complete, and you don't need to visit the RTO office. You can check the status of your application online by visiting https://parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservicecov5/applViewStatus.do and entering your Application Number and Date of Birth. Click "SUBMIT" to check the status of your application.
